Review:  First off to solve some confusion there is no Zombi 2 or is it 1… not sure why but why is it? (something to do with a connection with Dawn of the Dead) Now to the goodness of one my favorite horror movies, this is a gore fest! The storyline is very simple and starts off fast with the floating boat scene.  But where is the missing doctor? So we travel to a tropical island and meet another couple who are traveling and lord behold we have a group for the zombies to chase and eat.

Lucio Fulci goes all out with the effects in this film, from throats being ripped out, the classic eye scene and the famous zombie vs shark sequence.  The make-up and design of the zombies are beyond great and this is one of the very best zombie films out there.  This was the first film of Lucio Fulci that I had seen at that time and this was just the start to my great relationship with his other great films. I’m a fan! This is must see for all horror lovers and zombie fans alike.

Rating: This is one of those films that I try to throw on at least once every couple of years as it is a classic zombie movie (At one time it was every October). I did not want to spoil all the gory details but this one is a great flick to throw on, grab some beers and enjoy the english over dub.

8/10 Beers!
