Review (Spoils): This is one of the.. if not the best of the Stephen King novels made to film. We have young innocent Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) who has been isolated her whole life from society and the temptation that exists in life due to her mother’s (Piper Laurie) over religious upbringing. She soon learns from school and other students that she sticks out like a sore thumb and all she wants in life is to fit in.  She is tired of being the strange outsider. Through the movie she finds out she has telekinesis powers and she cuts loose when she loses her temper.

We have some classic scenes in this movie from the shower opening sequence, the battle with her mother and of course the prom night blood bucket. This movie screams classic when it comes to witch type movies and over religious believes.

Rating:  You cannot get any better for a Stephen King novel horror film than this. Bring out a bucket of pints for the bucket of blood, if you have not seen this do it now!

7/10 Beers!
