Strait-Jacket (1964)

Strait-Jacket (1964)

Country:  USA

Director:  William Castle

Main Stars:  Joan Crawford, Diane Baker, Leif Erickson

Storyline:  After 20 years being the asylum for double murder Lucy Harbin returns home.

Review (Spoils):  Lucy Harbin (Joan Crawford) has been locked up due to axing her husband and his lover. During the horrific murder her daughter Carol (Diane Baker) was the only witness. After 20 years she gets released and heads home to her daughter.  Carol is now a more mature woman and as soon as Lucy appears heads start to roll yet again in the town. The cops have one suspect of course!

This film is an amazing thriller and really enjoyable. Joan Crawford plays the perfect demented woman who has a lot of issues. Her acting is outstanding and she can wield an axe up there with a lot so the other classic horror characters.  The ending alone of this film is well worth the watch.

Rating:  Take the movie Dementia 13 and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and twisted it up with some good of Joan Crawford in a more evil way and this what you get.  A freaky and intense film!

7/10 Beers!
