The Omen 2 :Damien
Director: Don Taylor, Mike Hodges
Stars: William Holden, Lee Grant, Jonathan Scott-Taylor, Lance Henriksen, Lucas Donat
Storyline: Damien is now 13 and learns that his destiny is to overtake the family to get into politics in the name of his father Satan.
Review: Damien (Jonathan Scott-Taylor) is 13 now and is living with his aunt and uncle (William Holden, Lee Grant) and cousin Mark (Lucas Donat) in Chicago. Damien planned his to overtake the family and inherit everything so that he will have power that he can wield in the name of Satan. The film moves more since now Damien is learning about himself more and is struggling with that. He would love to be a normal boy but Satan has other plans for him. Whoever judges him and gets in his way he kills.
The film work wells after the last one which was the conflict of his first set of parents. Damien struggles on the “why me?” but at the same time shapes everything into his father’s evil plan. The conflict and the jealously of the two boys works in the plot of the film. This film gives us the classic raven attack, frozen lake drowning, the final meeting of Mark and Damien, nasty impaling, fire and the power of Satan!
Rating: This movie plays well of the first one as sometimes sequels can ruin the whole damn series. Some of the acting is pretty decent and the storyline is not bad. Sure some of it is cheesy but overall the film is not bad and worth a watch.
