Sleepaway Camp 2 (1988)
Director: Michael A. Simpson
Main Stars: Pamela Springsteen, Renee Estevez, Tony Higgins, Valerie Hartman
Storyline: Angela has gotten some help and now has landed herself a job as the perfect camp counsellor. But do they know of her past?
Review (Spoils): Angela Baker (Pamela Springsteen) is back from therapy and a sex reassignment surgery and is looking to start over a new life. She has put her secret past behind her and wants to start new. She takes on a summer job working as a head camp counsellor. She believes camp should be like the old days with songs, fires and marshmallows. If someone gets out line for what she dreams it should be look out!
This film is more on the comedy and gore side then the original film which lead to the ‘who done it”. Right from the get go of the film we know that Angela is insane and is doing the murdering. She is punishing basically any teen or kid that is out of line. The film brings us stabbings, tongue removals, drills, a drowning in a porter potty, burning, a chainsaw, Freddy glove and a good ol’ machete.
Rating: The film is not to be taken serious and not like the first entry at all. We have lots of breasts and Pamela Springsteen plays the crazy part well. This film is ok if you’re looking to kill sometime and want to see what is next in store for the series. Welcome back Angela!!!
