I Drink Your Blood (1970)
Director: David E. Durston
Main Stars: Bhaskar Roy Chowdhury, Jadin Wong, Rhonda Fultz
Storyline: A young man wants revenge on some hippies for rape of a local girl. He feeds them food with blood of a rabid dog in it. Bring on the crazy hippies!
Review (Spoils): A band of crazy satanic hippies rape a young woman and kill an older man (after drugging him). His grandson wants revenge so he hunts down the group of hippies. He creates meat pies that contain blood of a rabid dog and feeds it to the hippie group. The group get sick and start spitting up white foam and become true maniacs that kill everything in sight.
I have not done an exploitation horror film in a while for a review so I threw this one on for old time sake. The acting is just terrible but some of the key points of the film are rat eating, lots of smashing of items (oooooh those bad hippies!), lots of white ooze foam from the mouth, hanging, lots of gore, hippie sex, a nasty electric carving knife, meat pies!, machetes, swords and some gun shots to the head. Don’t expect great acting and thick storyline but if you enjoy over the top silly gore then this might be for you.
Rating: Not sure where the title came from as there was no drinking of blood in the whole film but there sure was some meat pies. We basically have a hippie exploit film of the 70s. Lots of white foam lips and some real dumb moments but then again its horror and that’s what it is about.
