Childs Play 4: Bride of Chucky (1998)
Director: Ronny Yu
Main Stars: Jennifer Tily, Brad Dourif, Katherine Heigi, John Ritter, Alexis Arquette
Storyline: Chucky finds the perfect mate that revived into another doll this time a female doll.
Review (Spoils): Tiffany (Jennifer Tily) is a former lover of the late Charles Lee Ray aka Chucky (Brad Dourif). She tries to bring Chucky back but finds out his love was false. In a fit of rage she cages Chucky and mocks him with a rubber female doll in a wedding gown. Chucky escapes and kills off Tiffany but uses the same ritual to bring Tiffany’s soul into the new female doll as revenge. The tow them work together to go on a killing spree to find the amulet that save them and help become human again.
We have stabbings, doll sex, some funny rubber jokes, car crashes, burnt rubber and gun shots. There is not much blood and such in this film as it’s more a trip on what the dolls are up to on their chase for the jewel.
Rating: Not to ruin the film too much it actually was pretty entertaining and something different then all the other films of the series. Thank god no Andy! The film is actually pretty funny and the bride is a nice touch to the film. The very ending is a surprise and leads into the very next one of the series. Jennifer Tily normally drives my brain mad with her voice but I was able to handle this one.
