When she waiting for help she finds out an alien caused her ship to crash. We end up with a pile of characters that you cannot keep up and the alien start to track her down yet again and this time he wants to propagate itself on the planet. For some reason this films storyline felt rehashed of the first one and the alien to me is just not a threatening.

This film is done very dark which to me works to set the mood, but there is just too much going on in this film and the alien does not seem to be the same creature which we all grew up to love. Not sure what David Fincher was trying to do here. The Ripley character is even lacking in this one, she is not the strong heroine as in the past films but instead this depressing “Debbie downer” we are all fucked type person. This film kills the series and it’s too bad as they could have did more with it’s a real shame.

Rating: This movie lacks all the suspense that we loved about the first two and the characters are unlikable so you really don’t care if the alien kills them or not. Sure there is two classic scenes (not mentioning them to ruin it) but overall this film could have been left on the table on paper.
