Storyline: A group of bikers get mixed up with the redneck family of the desert

Review (Spoils): a group of biker on their way to a race become stranded in the desert, home of the redneck cannibal family of the first film. The bus broke down and they start to wander off while the bus is being looked into. This leads to the cannibals realising more people are in their territory and they start to hunt them down.

Wes Craven is back with a sequel to his original classic. We have a bunch of flashbacks from the first film, hell even the dog has a flashback (this made me fucking laugh and its classic). We have the return of the Bobby character and Ruby along with the classic redneck Michael Berryman but this time he is more funny than menacing. John Bloom takes the part of the barbarian like redneck so does most the dirty work. The characters in this one outside the cannibals are blah… you don’t care if they die as they are almost unbearable. I’m pretty sure this was made for one reason money for Wes Craven. Some of the scenes are just stupid also such as when the redneck steals the bike and goes for a tour, the lack of blood and gore (except for the cut throat scene) this film is just missing the mark for the series.

Rating: This is not a very good sequel at all… I would say the worse but that has already been taken by The Exorcist 2. I loved the first film so to see this piece of lameness was hard, it ruined the series. The movie is just too predictable and it repeative of the first one and lacking the scares. I guess to see the dog to have a flashback is worth a drinks at least.
