Rene (Felicity Mason) just left the small town to go to the city as she lost her family home but now she must go back as the village is now in need of help. As the dead rise from the ground from the plague she finds herself in a Night of the Living Dead type survival game.

We have some comedy lines mixed with zombies and blood and gore. We have a mixed bag of town misfits trying to survive together in this zombie warzone. This films is not shy on the gore and the overtop splatter for example this old lady getting hit by the meteorite is actually memorable. We also have a fun fowl mouth cop who throws out one-liners like dirty underwear “I’ll fucking finish you off faster than a fucking birthday cake at a fat chicks fucking party!” Some classic stuff.

Rating: This film was alright and entertaining but at the same time it is trying to be the new Braindead or Dead/Alive. (I would say Shawn of the Dead but it came later). It had some funny parts like Miss Catch of the Day but overall it was not an amazing film but then again I don’t normally like comedy with my horror.
