Through the passage of an old book detailed on vampires and the sickness of one of the daughters it happens that she is actually been bit by the undead. We have betray and a bottle of poison which could be a setup or to actual but the young woman out of her misery.

The story can be a bit confusing as the film was originally shot as a silent film but audio was jammed into it making it not as beautiful as it could have been. Julian West is awesome and the highlight of the film as the film like others of its time is focusing on scenery and mood. The over expressions can be a bit over played but the film overall is a classic and a work of art.

Rating: We have a classic gothic film that is a sheer classic for horror. Yes it has some glitches like stated above the storyline can be a bit confusing but the visual of it is worth the watch. The dark eeriness is there…..
