Review (Spoils): Remake time yet again and this time this is with a massive classic. I personally put this one off for a long time to see as I was not crazy about the idea. We have Ana (Sarah Polley) trapped with a group of misfits within a mall as they plan to escape and live somewhere else in a world full of zombies. While they all work together on how to escape and why this is happening in the world, they also find out each other dirty laundry.  The film bases mostly on them trying to work together and stopping the spread of the zombie infection.

The film does stray away from the original script by a lot which is a good thing and they dropped most of the comedy stuff from the original. Yes, we have some unique characters and the build is not bad. The eye candy from the film is there as Sarah Polley (the hero), Lindy Booth (the silly young one that does stupid stuff) and Kim Poirier (the bubbly blonde). All three of them did a great job and I did not dislike them.  Ty Burrell did an amazing job also as you wanted to hate him, and he played the part very well.

Now to what I did not care for, the young pregnant couple was painful. Mekhi Phifer and Inna Korobkina characters were not enjoyable and not even smart in anyway and they seemed to be out of place. The acting was poor, and I cheered for the zombie baby. Bad selection on actors.  The second hurting unit of this film was fast moving zombies, I hate fucking running zombies.

We got lots of gun shots, zombies bites, a zombie baby with glowing eyes, some cool skin rot special effects, a gross fat undead woman, some chainsaws, and more zombies then you can track. The gore is not over the top as the original, but the zombie action is there.

Rating:  Going to be honest here, this film was not bad for a remake. It stayed away from the original enough to not hurt it and yet it did pay homage to it. The ladies were great, and I was glued to the screen to see how this all is going to work out for them. The movie was not bad but like I have said many times I really hate fast moving zombies and once I saw them go, I was kicked to the curve on thought.  But overall the flick was fun and entertaining for a zombie movie. Well done Sarah Polley! As a side note was Kim Poirier trying to be Sherri Moon? (it worked for me).

Cry Wolf (2005)

Cry Wolf (2005)

Country: USA

Director: Jeff Wadlow

Main Stars: Julian Morris, Lindy Booth, Jared Padalecki, Jon Bon Jovi, Sandra McCoy,

Storyline: A bunch of kids think its funny start a rumour a killer called The Wolf online and describe the next victim. This leads to the person actually being killed!

MV5BODA0ODMyNDA2N15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNDAxMDAzMQ@@__V1_SX214_Review (Spoils): So we have a bunch of punk ass kids that start an online game called The Wolf which a pretend serial killer is killing victims that they describe. Well jokes on them as it actually starts to happen. The kids think it was smart to create an email account and create this killer called The Wolf. As the teens describe the deaths in detail a killer follows their plan and executes it.

So during the whole end of horror era because of Hollywood this one comes along the Scream trail. Once again we have the beautiful people of Hollywood playing teens that are smart asses and think it is cool to make up am massive lie of killer. This film is actually not that bad even though it’s part of the other loads of shit that was given to us in this era of horror. We have some neat ideas and killings done by a person in an orange ski mask. The film does not hold on to gore but instead plays off the mind game of lies and somewhere in there Jon Bon Jovi is banging all the young chicks.

Rating: The plot is enough to hold the film up for its time but unfortunately it came out with all the other loads of crap of this time. But we have hot little Lindy Booth so for that alone it is worth watching.

Review (Spoils): This film does not have much storyline so I will narrow it down. We have a couple car wrecks and then young people meeting and than those young people trying to survive the woods while being hunted down by 3 mountain men.  We don’t need much storyline to make this film fun.  We have like able character such as Jeremy Sisto, we have hot chicks such as Eliza Dushku, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Lindy Booth.  We go lots of blood gore and spears and arrows, some great makeup for the disfigured men that hunt through the woods looking new victims and food.

Rating:  The movie is simple it has rednecks and hot girls that are not dressed for the woods. Seems simple? Yes the movie is that simple. Not great but not overly horrible but it is not The Hills Have Eyes. (the original not that awful remake)
