Director: David Schmoeller
Main Stars: Paul Le Mat, William Hickey, Irene Miracle, Kathryn O’Reilly
Storyline: Neil Gallagher finds the secret of Toulon’s puppets which they can come to life within black magic. A group of psychics come to investigate the missing friend and find out that the stories of Toulon’s puppets are true.
Review (Spoils): The puppet maker Andre Toulon (William Hickey) shoots himself so that the Nazi cannot find out his secret to make puppets come to life. 50 years later Neil Gallagher find the answer and calls to his psychic friends to help solve his disappearance. The rest of the movie is based around a very old house in which the psychics wine and dine and talk trash while they try to track down Neil. Right from the first night the puppets come to life and hunt down the trespassers. We have fun puppets like pinhead, blade, jester, leech woman and tunneler which gather their names from their special talents and this just the first of the long series of Puppetmaster films. The idea works for this film.
Rating: Not the greatest film but it was not too bad and it was watchable. This is the best of the series really and there are some disgusting scenes such as leech woman and tunneler so it was worth a few beers.
