Storyline: A young girl joins her mom in a new family and tries to fit in, so she joins a small teen coven.
Review (Spoils): So, the intro kicks in pretty much a copy/clone of the original classic film almost right to the font. They change it up a bit as Lily (Cailee Spaeny) moves into a new family with her mom and she has three older brothers. The main character is enjoyable unlike the original but the coven itself is kind of lame. As she tries to fit in of course we must have some awkwardness.
We have an awkward period moment, lots of teen crap, douche bag boys (too the point of really that would never happen), over the top special effects (kind of too much), summoning circles, copycat scenes from the original, used condom, threats, more bad special effects, suicide, stupid storyline of dad and mom and some more bad effects.
Rating: Come up with some fresh ideas people! This movie came from a kind of dark goth background and now it is changed to a high school musical with a shithead stepdad. The special effects in this film are just garbage and so clearly fake. The mother is even a douche in some cases, the characters are just bad, and the acting is kind of garbage. This whole thing sucks bad. Until the last scene where it tries to redeem itself. But it’s hard justified something this bad with a 5 second connection.
