13 Cameras (2015)

Country: USA

Director:  Victor Zarcoff

Main Stars:  Neville Archambault, Sean Carrigan, PJ McCabe, Brianne Moncrief, Jim Cummings, Heidi Niedermeyer, Sarah Baldwin

Storyline:  A young couple move into a new house to live but the landlord has setup hidden cameras through the house for his own pleasure.

Review (Spoils): Gerald (Neville Archambault) is one dirty old man that has some kinky and sick needs. Gets a old place and starts to hook the place up with hidden cameras and places the place out for to rented. A young couple Ryan (PJ McCabe) and his pregnant wife Claire (Brianne Moncrief) move into the place even though old Gerald gives Claire the creeps. Before long things get weird with the couple’s relationship and the relationship with the landlord.

The storyline is very simple we have a couple that has relationship issues, a few hot babes and a very well performed dirty old landlord. This works as it hits the reality buttons and it was filmed to me to not look like an everyday thriller.

The film does not much gore at all and plays more on the looks and dirtiness of the pleasures of the landlord. Most of story revolves around the young couple’s relationship which is not bad as the film is not overly long. Its is just a straight forward thriller and it starts to get into gear around the half way mark without going crazy on blood and torture. Sure we get a little skin in  a shower scene (thank you Sarah Baldwin) but it did not overtake the film.

Rating:  This film plays much on dirt and the feeling of creepiness. This works really well and shows that you do not need gore to make a great horror film. Neville Archambault is going to be a memorable villain in my books and I really could not get enough of him. I am excited to know that this series continues. This movie has a few ladies that are really easy on the eyes, but the next star of this film is Brianne Moncrief as she is beyond hot and you can actually understand her character and the emotion in that one scene with the landlord when they were alone was great. Neville Archambault was the star though as his character was greatly written and you can feel the dirt right off him from the start. This film is worth checking out!
